A family business for over 40 years — KP Asian Market, formerly known as Pusan Plaza, was the first San Francisco Bay Area Korean market established in 1973.
In 1988, B.J. Yu acquired the market from his sister Patricia Lee. As a young immigrant from South Korea, Mr. Yu sought out an opportunity that was missing in the community, an Asian market.
To meet increasing demands from loyal customers due to the extremity of high diversity in the Bay Area, KP Asian Market now imports over hundreds of Asian consumable goods — South Korea, Japan, China, Vietnam, Thailand, etc.
